WSO2 Launches WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud to Meet B2B and B2C Demands

WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud is part of WSO2’s CIAM suite, which also includes the industry-leading, open-source WSO2 Identity Server software that manages more than 1 billion identities each year. WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud combines the proven B2C capabilities of the WSO2 CIAM suite with new B2B organization management functionality, which uniquely enables organizations to create multiple levels of B2B organizational hierarchies and lets administrators of each organization configure their own policies and processes.

WSO2 also introduced WSO2 Identity Server 6.0. Both the newest release of WSO2 Identity Server and the new WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud build on the current WSO2 CIAM suite to add significant new features. These include integration with third-party analytics tools, integration with TypingDNA for authentication based on typing biometrics, multi-attribute log-in support to give users more sign-in options, and device flow support to bring CIAM to a broader range of devices.

“More than a quarter of our CIAM customer base has started using WSO2 Identity Server for B2B, which gave us valuable real-world insights into how to support enterprises’ increasingly sophisticated market requirements with our new WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud,” said Geethika Cooray, vice president and general manager of identity and access management at WSO2.

Extending CIAM from B2C to B2B

WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud supports the growing demand to extend CIAM from B2C to B2B by building on the industry-leading functionality already in use with WSO2 Identity Server, the uniquely extensible, API-driven, cloud native product that enables developers to harness the power of CIAM without being security experts. It incorporates the ability to federate, authenticate and manage identities; bridge across heterogeneous identity protocols; and secure access to web and mobile applications along with API-based endpoints.

Additionally, WSO2 Private CIAM Cloud goes beyond WSO2 Identity Server 6.0 to provide robust support for B2B business models through the new B2B organization management feature.

Invixium Launches a Smartphone App to Enhance Biometric Security System

Invixium, a manufacturer of touchless biometrics, is broadening its offerings through IXM Mobile, a smartphone app with features designed for healthy access. The mobile app provides end-users with features to enhance their biometric security system for staff and visitors. Designed for use with TITAN, IXM Mobile offers five licensed features: remote face enrollment, digital card or QR code as contactless credentials, a custom attestation questionnaire, and vital signs screening.

An official release stated, “With face enrollment via IXM Mobile, employees will no longer need to enroll for face recognition on-site, significantly speeding up the process of staff or contractor enrollment. Remote face enrollment enables IXM Mobile to generate a biometric template using Invixium’s face enrollment algorithm for use with TITAN. The app will then securely transfer each individual’s biometric template to IXM WEB, Invixium’s enterprise-grade software. The administrator can then assign the template to specific doors or devices for access control or workforce management.”

Paxton announces new Sales Manager for the Middle East

Paxton, global designer and manufacturer of electronic access control and door entry systems, has appointed David Sodergren as Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East.
Based in Dubai, David will support and assist system integrators and distributors in the region, ensuring they are aware of Paxton’s product offerings and are taking advantage of the sales opportunities available within the security market.

David joins Paxton with over 16 years’ experience in the security industry, previously holding roles at Lockheed Martin, Integrated Control Technologies, Advanced Detection Technology and most recently World Wide Expeditions.

Commenting on the appointment, Dan Drayton, International Sales Manager for Paxton, said: “We’re delighted to welcome David to the team at what is an exciting time for the company, particularly within the Middle East. David’s depth of industry knowledge will provide great value to our customers and help accelerate our growth right across the region.”

Paxton recently exhibited its range of access control and door entry solutions at Intersec in Dubai. David attended the exhibition, along with the rest of the team, meeting customers and presenting Paxton’s products. The company’s flagship IP access control system, Net2, offers centralised administration and control of sites ranging from one to hundreds of doors, and thousands of users.

It is designed to easily integrate with other security systems including CCTV, biometrics, fire and intruder alarms to offer a complete solution. Also on display at the show was Paxton’s wireless door handle, Net2 PaxLock. The solution communicates wirelessly to the server PC via a wireless bridge, reducing cabling and installation time. Both standard Euro profile lock case and US C Keyway lock versions are available for the Middle Eastern market.
