Sony Middle East and Africa today introduced the groundbreaking new Alpha 9 III camera equipped with the world’s first1 full-frame global shutter image sensor. 

The impressive new global shutter full-frame image sensor enables the camera to shoot at burst speeds at up to 120 fps with no distortion or camera blackout.  By combining this innovative sensor with Sony’s most advanced AF system to date – boasting AI autofocus with up to 120 times AF/AE focus calculations per second – as well as the ability to sync flash at all shooting speeds, the Alpha 9 III opens a new world of possibilities for professional photographers to capture that decisive moment.

Features of the Alpha 9 III

The Alpha 9 III introduces the world’s first global shutter image sensor for exceptional still image performance. With 24.6MP, blackout-free continuous shooting at 120 fps, and advanced autofocus, it captures decisive moments with precision. The camera features 8.0 stops of 5-axis image stabilization and a maximum shutter speed of 1/80000s.

In video, it records 4K 120p without cropping and supports the S-Cinetone process for cinematic quality. Enhanced ergonomics, a 4-axis LCD, and a 9.44 million-dot OLED viewfinder offer professional operability. The camera ensures a high-speed workflow with features like image filtering during playback and FTP data transfer.

With improved grip design and a dedicated microphone for voice memos, the Alpha 9 III prioritizes comfort and audio clarity. It supports multiple recording options with CFexpress Type A and SD cards, enabling versatile usage. Ongoing updates, including breathing correction and C2PA format support, affirm Sony’s commitment to meeting professional demands.
