Acer’s Vision: Leading The AI Revolution with Sustainable Innovation

Exclusive Interview with Michele Montecchio, General Manager, Acer Middle East

What were your offerings for this year’s GITEX Global and how was the feedback?

We presented visitors with the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with our diverse range of cutting-edge products such as AI PCs, gaming, mobility, and more at our interactive stand. There was excellent footfall at our Acer stand with visitors interested in discovering more about our e mobility products such as the Predator Extreme PES017, the new Swift AI Copilot+ PCs, the TravelMate P614 AI laptop, the Nitro Blaze 7 new handheld AI gaming device and the SpatialLabs Eyes 3D camera.

Could you share your insights into Acer’s vision and highlight the key areas where the company is focusing to meet the evolving demands of consumer technology?

Acer’s vision is to become an industry leader in sustainable management through innovation and efficiency in customer care while keeping quality the core of everything we do as an entity. We are constantly researching and innovating to produce cutting-edge products that increase productivity and efficiency for users. Consumer technology is continuously evolving and improving as the needs and demands of consumers do. As leaders in the industry, we are highly focused on understanding the needs of consumers and partners in order to not only meet but exceed their expectations and requirements. Some of the key areas we are focusing on now include developing and incorporating AI into our product line ups and continuing to produce eco-friendly, sustainable technology.

Can you explain the standout AI-driven features that set this model apart from other laptops in the market?

This year we launched the Swift 16 AI Copilot+ PC which is one of our first Swift laptops powered by new Intel Core Ultra processors. It is designed to improve the efficiency and productivity of the user and is mainly targeted at solopreneurs. This segment relies heavily on their device to get tasks done and want an aesthetic, premium, powerful and reliable device. Based on this insight, the Swift 16 AI laptop utilizes AI for better performance and longer battery life, has AI experiences that allows users to organize their work, concentrate on the content, and reduce hassles – all encased in an aesthetic and easily portable chassis.

How is Acer preparing lead in the next generation network technology space?

Earlier this year Acer expanded its wireless router range by introducing the mesh router Acer Wave 7. As one of our newest router additions to our Acer product line ups, the Acer Wave 7 supports the Wi-Fi 7, offering a reliable and mighty speed of up to 6400 Mbps. With built-in Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), the Wave 7 is designed to transmit and receive data simultaneously and securely across different frequencies for smooth connectivity. In addition, the innovative mesh system supports reach through adding additional access points while creating a seamless blanket of Wi-Fi coverage throughout the work or home setting.

Can you share about Acer’s recent innovations in the gaming sector?

Creating ground-breaking gaming technology is Acer’s forte; tthere will always be new gaming innovations from Acer hitting the market. Just recently we launched some remarkable new Windows 11 gaming PCs. Among them are the Predator Orion 7000 desktop, the all-new pearl white Nitro V 14, and the upgraded Nitro V 16. All these gaming beasts show off high-performance features and include the latest processing technology powered by Intel and AMD next gen processors designed to elevate gameplay and deliver performance to amaze the most competitive gamers. These gaming devices are versatile and perfect for school, entertainment, and gaming-only purposes.

Another exciting innovation is the first-generation Nitro Blaze 7 handheld gaming device. Designed especially for gaming on the go with built in AI gaming PC features and AMD Ryzen processor, to optimize performance.

Moreover, we’ve recently launched new Predator and Nitro gaming monitors designed to elevate and transform the hardcore gamers’ experience. They are compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC to deliver a smooth, flawless gaming experience and can deliver cinematic visuals with a refresh rate of up to 520 Hz.

What key milestones does Acer aim to achieve in the coming years?

We are committed to keeping our position as leaders in the industry. Development and innovation in both commercial and consumer technology with sustainability and eco conscious technology being our core, remain our objectives. We also remain committed to using 100% renewable electricity by 2035 and reaching net zero emissions by 2050; we have been working towards both these goals.

Additionally, we foresee that AI is the future of technology and are putting our efforts in staying ahead of the game. We are also working on increasing our presence in other markets or sectors such as healthcare, education, and gaming. Moreover, we aim to continue investing in lifestyle and e-mobility products to expand our business and maintain leadership in tech innovation while listening closely to consumer needs and adapting to change.
