AL HAMRA MALL SETS NEW BENCHMARK FOR ECO-CONSCIOUS RETAIL IN RAS AL KHAIMAH
Al Hamra Mall has achieved LEED O+M Gold Certification for sustainable operations, marking a significant milestone as one of the first malls in Ras Al Khaimah to achieve this prestigious recognition.
The LEED O+M Gold Certification is a globally recognised designation that evaluates water and energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable building management practices. In line with these sustainability standards, Al Hamra Mall has reduced energy use by 5,887 MWh of electricity during the year of 2025 (equivalent to 3,456 tons of CO2 emissions) with ongoing initiatives to boost air quality, comfort, and the overall mall experience.
With this new designation, Al Hamra Mall advances its ambition to lower its carbon emissions in line with Aldar’s Net Zero Action Plan, while maintaining high operational standards to support a seamless experience for visitors, tenants, and employees.
This recognition further reflects the mall’s long-term commitment to support Aldar’s ESG strategy and the UAE’s wider sustainability goals, leading the way in eco-conscious practices in Ras Al Khaimah and beyond.
