Big 5 Global unites international suppliers through global synergy and national vision to accelerate the UAE’s urban development ambitions
As construction and urban development projects grow in scale and complexity across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA), reliable supply chains, efficient procurement and predictable project delivery remain key priorities for the industry. Responding to these priorities, Big 5 Global returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 23 – 26 November 2026, helping businesses broaden sourcing strategies and support more efficient project delivery.
Reflecting the scale of demand across the region, more than 1,800 exhibitors from over 60 countries will showcase 55,000 products, services, systems and solutions at the event, with international companies representing 70% of the exhibitor base.
Commenting on the exhibition being held in Dubai for the past 47 years and its long-standing partnership with Dubai Municipality, Maryam Al Muhairi CEO of Buildings Regulation & Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, said: “Dubai’s approach to urban development brings together infrastructure, technology and sustainability to enhance quality of life. International collaboration plays an important role in exchanging expertise and identifying innovative solutions that respond to the emirate’s evolving needs. Our longstanding partnership with Big 5 Global provides a valuable platform to share Dubai Municipality’s experience, engage with global industry leaders and explore emerging technologies and practices that support sustainable urban development. This collaboration contributes to our efforts to create a more liveable and resilient city, in line with the objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.”
Technology supporting procurement and project delivery
Alongside evolving supply networks, technology is transforming procurement and project delivery, enabling greater efficiency, visibility and control. Digital technologies are creating new opportunities to improve how construction projects are planned, coordinated and delivered.
At Digital Construction World, exhibitors including Premier Construction Software, Nemetschek Group, Leica, RIB Software and DJI Drones will represent the digital construction sector. These areas are relevant to project teams seeking to improve coordination, access reliable project information and connect decisions across different stages of delivery.
Exploring more sustainable construction solutions
Beyond technological advancement, resource efficiency and sustainable construction remain key considerations; the industry prioritizes low-carbon materials use, waste reduction and building systems’ performance.
“As the UAE advances towards its net-zero goals, the construction and infrastructure sectors must increasingly adopt lower-carbon materials, efficient production methods and sustainable supply chains,” said Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, KEZAD Group.
“As the Integrated Economic Zones Sponsor of Big 5 Global, we are demonstrating how KEZAD Group supports this transition. Our industrial zones bring together manufacturers of lower-carbon steel, sustainable building materials and smart infrastructure solutions. By connecting these businesses with advanced industrial facilities, integrated supply chains and access to global markets through multimodal transport networks, we help companies manufacture, source and distribute materials more efficiently. Through these capabilities, KEZAD Group is supporting the UAE’s net-zero ambitions while helping the construction sector reduce its environmental impact, improve resource efficiency and deliver more sustainable projects for the future.”
Supporting the sustainability ambitions, the Big 5 Global Impact Trail provides a dedicated route through the exhibition floor, guiding visitors towards suppliers, products and insights supporting sustainable project delivery. Participating exhibitors include NaturaSeal with VOC-free, crack-bridging waterproofing membranes; Prime Middle East with low-GWP cooling refrigerants; and Deewan Equipment Trading with waste-reducing concrete reclaimers, among others.
Strengthening supply chains across the project lifecycle
For buyers and project teams, the event’s global reach creates greater choice and helps them respond to evolving project requirements. From construction materials and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions to building interiors and finishes, prefabrication, fire and safety, infrastructure equipment and industrial construction products, the exhibition covers key requirements across project delivery.
Seven co-located events extend the sectoral diversification across heavy construction, concrete, marble and stone, urban design and landscape, HVACR, digital construction and geospatial technologies, as well as facilities management. The sectors collectively reflect the interconnected requirements of the built environment, enabling stakeholders to compare solutions, diversify supplier networks and identify technologies that can improve productivity throughout the asset lifecycle.
The scale and diversity of the exhibition are also reflected in the companies participating in 2026. The exhibitor line-up includes Liebherr, Bauer, Doosan, Zamil Steel, Anchor Allied, Astral, Dutco Tennant, TOPWERK, MASA and RAKNOR, alongside UAE-based companies including Trojan Construction Holding, Al Waseef Industries, Mahy Khoory & Co, Bekaert Emirates, Al Masaood, Danube Building Materials FZE and Al Muqarram Trading. Manufacturers and suppliers from Saudi Arabia, India, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman will also be represented.
Commenting on their participation Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi, Group Chief Executive Officer, Trojan Construction Holding, Construction delivery partner, said, “Reliable supply chains are important to delivering complex projects efficiently, particularly as construction activity in the UAE continues to expand across major developments and infrastructure programmes. As a UAE-based construction group of companies, we value opportunities to strengthen relationships, connect with reliable suppliers and exchange knowledge on the solutions and capabilities supporting project delivery. Our partnership with Big 5 Global reflects this commitment to stronger industry connections and resilient supply networks.”
The 2026 edition will also welcome first-time exhibitors, including Midea, Einhell, Reynaers, Innovo Group and Mulk Holding, further expanding the range of companies represented.
“The next phase of growth across construction markets will be defined not only by the scale of development, but by how effectively the industry can deliver it,” said Josine Heijmans, Senior Vice President, dmg events. “Resilient supply chains, technology adoption, sustainable solutions and workforce capability are inseparable from project performance. Big 5 Global connects these priorities in one place, giving regional stakeholders access to global suppliers, practical innovation and the partnerships needed to move projects forward with greater confidence and long-term value.”

BISSELL Marks 150 Years of Innovation, Family Leadership and Commitment to Better Home Cleaning
BISSELL Middle East is celebrating the company’s 150th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in a journey defined by innovation, family leadership and a long-standing commitment to developing practical cleaning solutions for homes. From its beginnings in a small Michigan shop in 1876, BISSELL has evolved into an established home cleaning brand serving households across the GCC and international markets.
The company’s story began when Melville Bissell invented a carpet sweeper to solve a practical challenge in the crockery shop he operated with his wife, Anna. Growing customer demand transformed that invention into a family business. In 1889, Anna Bissell assumed leadership of the company and helped expand its reach beyond the United States, establishing a legacy of entrepreneurship and leadership that has continued across generations.
Over the past 150 years, BISSELL has continued to evolve alongside changing lifestyles and household needs. The company expanded from manual sweepers into carpet washers, vacuums, portable cleaners and multi-surface cleaning solutions.
“Reaching 150 years is an important milestone for BISSELL and a reflection of the values that have shaped the company across five generations. Our heritage is built on understanding real household needs and developing practical solutions that make cleaning easier and more effective. As we celebrate this anniversary, we are proud of our journey and remain focused on continuing to innovate, listen to our customers and strengthen our relevance to families across the region,” said Faten Al-Baltaji, General Manager of BISSELL META and India.
The 150th anniversary also underscores the continuity of BISSELL’s family-led heritage. Five generations after the company’s first carpet sweeper, BISSELL continues to build on its founding purpose by developing cleaning solutions designed around the practical demands of modern homes, including households with pets.
As BISSELL enters its next chapter, the milestone provides an opportunity to reflect on a century and a half of progress while reaffirming the company’s focus on innovation, customer needs and the continued development of home cleaning solutions for future generations.

Jockamo Barnes Is Building Culture, Not Just Brands
From scented boyfriend sweaters to cocktails that cross continents, Murali, Co-founder of Jockamo Barnes, is turning Dubai’s cultural quirks and everyday observations into unexpected creative experiences.
In an industry where every brand wants to be culturally relevant, Murali, Co-founder of innovation studio Jockamo Barnes, is challenging the very idea of what that means. “Culture is one of the most abused words today, especially in marketing and advertising. Every agency claims it. Every brand sees it as a shortcut to relevance. But few truly understand what it means to be a part of it.”
For Murali, the answer lies in creating rather than chasing culture. At Jockamo Barnes, that translates into unconventional objects, brands and experiences rooted in human behaviour, often inspired by the contradictions of life in the UAE. ““Every project starts with a tension: two things that shouldn’t necessarily work together, but somehow do. The UAE produces them faster than anywhere I’ve lived,” he explains.
Take Boomerang, a playful inversion of hospitality inspired by a New Orleans cocktail tradition. Instead of visiting bars to be served, Murali travels with a drink to gift bartenders around the world, creating an unexpected connection between cocktail communities across continents.
Then there’s Pre-Worn Boyfriend Sweater, a tongue-in-cheek take on Dubai’s dating culture, built around the observation that “the best part of situationships are the clothes you steal; the worst part is the man.” Created with fragrance studio Oo La Lab Dubai, the scented sweaters capture three familiar dating archetypes: the Entrepreneur, the Gym Rat and the Desert Philosopher. Beyond the humour, the project explores how scent and touch can evoke memories in ways traditional advertising cannot.
A more poignant expression of this thinking is Bitter Meat, created with Aidan Frederick. Described as a love letter to the UAE’s expat experience, the project challenges the familiar narrative of Dubai as a temporary stopover. Its message, “for those who chose here,” speaks to residents who have made the country home by choice. “Reverence without romanticism. We love this place too much to put it on a postcard,” says Murali.
This creative philosophy also shapes the studio’s collaborations. The Away Kit, developed with Super Cellar for the 2026 World Cup, features more than 17 editorial posters pairing nations with culturally inspired cocktails. The insight is distinctly local: Dubai experiences the tournament as a city of away fans, where people passionately support countries they no longer live in.
For Murali, partnerships like these are about shared authorship rather than conventional sponsorship. “Super Cellar started as a client and became a co-author. That’s the model we want: invite a brand into something already in motion instead of shopping them a finished idea.”
Ultimately, Jockamo Barnes is interested in ideas that live beyond the fleeting attention of a campaign. “Advertising asks for attention. People watch it, skim past it. But it’s ignorable and avoidable. Objects earn a place in someone’s life. We’re more interested in the second.”
And perhaps that’s the studio’s most compelling proposition: culture isn’t something brands need to borrow relevance from. It’s something they can meaningfully contribute to.
