Ocean Basket Makes a Splash at Ibn Battuta Mall with Unlimited Seafood Feasts
Big platters, lemon butter prawns and a table full of favorites. Ocean Basket has opened at Ibn Battuta Mall, giving families a fresh spot to gather over a seafood feast. With Mediterranean-inspired flavours and a relaxed coastal setting, the new restaurant brings a generous helping of sharing to weekend lunches, post-shopping bites and casual dinners.
Made for passing plates and reaching for another prawn, the new restaurant puts sharing at the centre of the table. Whether it’s a weekend family get-together, a catch-up with friends or a shopping break that turns into lunch, the approach is simple: good seafood, generous portions and plenty to go around.
The platters lead the way, bringing together favourites such as prawns, calamari, mussels and fish. Mediterranean-inspired flavours keep things fresh, with lemon, garlic and olive oil alongside Ocean Basket’s signature lemon butter and rich garlic sauce. For families with different favourites, a seafood spread gives everyone something to tuck into.
The coastal mood carries through to the interiors. Deep blues, warm timber and curved booths set the scene for an easygoing meal, while glowing arches, greenery and colourful aquatic artwork bring a playful touch. It’s a welcoming spot to settle in with the family after a morning at the mall or gather the gang for a casual dinner.
“Some of the best meals are the ones where everyone orders something different and ends up sharing everything,” said Grace Harding, CEO. “That generosity has always been part of Ocean Basket. Our new Ibn Battuta Mall restaurant brings it to life in a setting where guests can feel comfortable, enjoy their favourite seafood and make an occasion of being together.”
With more than a decade in Dubai, Ocean Basket adds a fresh address to the family dining shortlist. Come for a shopping pit stop, stay for the platter.

HMH Advances Sustainable Hospitality Practices Across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan
Modern hospitality extends far beyond guest comfort and dining. Behind every stay lies operational decisions that dictate how water and energy are conserved, how waste is handled, and how local communities are supported. For Hospitality Management Holding (HMH), these practical choices define responsible hotel management.
Across its portfolio of managed properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, HMH integrates targeted environmental initiatives directly into day-to-day operations. Key measures include deploying atmospheric water generators, eliminating single-use plastics, and establishing textile recycling programmes to cut waste and conserve core resources.
Responsible operations equally depend on the workforce delivering them. HMH supports teams across front-of-house, housekeeping, culinary, and management roles through ongoing professional development, staff wellness initiatives, and community engagement.
Recognising that sector-wide impact requires broader alignment, HMH also works alongside industry peers through platforms such as the Emirates Hospitality Sustainability Alliance. As guest expectations increasingly favour responsible practices, the group continues to focus on measurable operational standards that link commercial performance with sound environmental stewardship.

Elevate World expands GoElevate ancillary offerings beyond accommodation
Elevate World, a leading UAE-based global travel and tourism group, is expanding its ancillary product offering through its GoElevate brand, adding a wider portfolio of activities, attraction tickets, event and concert tickets, experiences and airport transfers as it takes its offering beyond accommodation. These products, previously available only through the Elevate DMC brand, are now open to a wider audience through GoElevate, the group’s online distribution platform.
To support the expansion, Elevate World is investing in technology that sources the right ancillary products for each destination and matches them to the needs of its demand partners, using the latest AI technologies through Yara AI.
Announced at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026, the expansion comes alongside the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
Samir Hamadeh, Founder and CEO of Elevate World, commented, “The trip doesn’t end at the hotel door, and neither should our offering. Travellers are buying complete journeys, and GoElevate gives our partners the technology to sell every part of one, turning fragmented supply into a single proposition. With Yara AI, we’re no longer just adding more products to a catalogue. We’re matching the right experiences to the right markets, so a tour operator in Europe or a travel agency in India can offer its customers exactly what they’re looking for in each destination. For our partners, that means more value from every booking. For destinations, it means travellers who stay longer, spend more and see more of what the place has to offer.”
The agreement reflects a broader shift in how Elevate World works with destinations. Across the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia, the group is partnering with Tourism Boards not only to convert international demand into visits but also to help develop the technology that connects destinations with travel sellers worldwide. Drawing on a network of more than 3,000 directly contracted accommodation providers and over 300 strategic partners, Elevate World offers Tourism Boards a direct route to the tour operators, OTAs, wholesalers and travel agencies that shape where travellers go.

From Mdardara to Morning Shots: iDiet Gives Anti-Inflammatory Eating a Flavourful Twist

With conversations around gut health, bloating and ultra-processed foods becoming an increasingly prominent part of everyday wellness, iDiet, the premium healthy food and diet meal plan brand in the UAE, is highlighting its established Anti-Inflammatory Diet Plan – an approach to eating that puts whole foods, variety and flavour at the centre of the plate.
Designed for people looking to move away from heavily processed foods and build more balanced eating habits, the plan focuses on seafood, legumes, eggs, colourful vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, nuts, seeds and spices such as turmeric and ginger. It excludes red meat, poultry, fried foods, refined sugars and ultra-processed ingredients, offering a structured way to make whole-food eating part of everyday life.
The plan is particularly suited to those looking to prioritise gut health, incorporate more antioxidant-rich foods into their diets, or take a nutritional reset after a period of frequent takeaways and processed food. It offers a deliberate pause from heavily processed foods and ingredients the programme is designed to limit, while reintroducing a greater variety of nourishing, antioxidant-rich and gut-friendly choices to everyday meals. Meals are prepared fresh daily in iDiet’s kitchen, without seed oils or preservatives, and are halal.
For Sabine Karam, CEO and Co-founder of iDiet, the idea behind the plan is not to single out one ingredient as a solution, but to focus on the overall pattern of eating.
“Anti-inflammatory eating isn’t about one magic ingredient. A spoonful of turmeric won’t undo a week of processed food. What matters is the overall pattern: more plants, more fibre, fermented foods, good fats and simple cooking. Many of our Levant and Mediterranean dishes, like Mdardara, already follow these principles, so we didn’t need to reinvent anything. Our focus is on making this way of eating practical, varied and enjoyable. Some customers tell us that, after following the plan for a few weeks, they feel lighter, less bloated and notice steadier energy,” said Sabine Karam, CEO and Co-founder of iDiet.
The menu brings these principles to life through more than a checklist of ingredients. Each day begins with a morning shot, such as turmeric-ginger or orange-beet, while the evening winds down with a digestive tea or rosemary-lemon calm tea. Levantine and Mediterranean-inspired food traditions sit alongside a focus on seafood, legumes, whole grains and vegetables, making the plan feel like an enjoyable way of eating rather than a list of foods to avoid.
Since healthier eating shouldn’t mean skipping dessert, the plan also includes a selection of clean, no refined sugar-free treats made with whole ingredients, including sweet potato chocolate fudge, avocado chocolate mousse, chickpea mocha truffles and baked carrot squares with tahini-date caramel – all with natural sweetness from dates and fruit.
This emphasis on taste is central to iDiet’s wider approach to healthy eating. Its menus draw inspiration from Mediterranean, Asian, Oriental and international cuisines, offering the variety needed to keep meals interesting. Rather than relying on restrictive or repetitive diet food, iDiet aims to make customers feel they are choosing a better way of eating, not simply following a diet.
That experience is also supported by ongoing, personalised guidance from a qualified dietitian. Every customer is assigned a dietitian as their account manager, who helps select the most suitable plan, navigate nutritional needs, adjust menus and make recommendations as goals, preferences and routines evolve. The relationship continues throughout the subscription, providing professional guidance beyond the initial assessment.
“People often focus on individual ingredients or the latest wellness trend, but the bigger challenge is building eating habits that work in real life,” Sabine added. “One plan doesn’t suit everyone. The food needs to fit the person, their preferences and their routine, and it needs to taste good enough that they want to keep eating it.”
Operating in the UAE since 2021, iDiet is the UAE brand of HealthBox Diet and Nutrition Center, founded in Lebanon in 2010 by Sabine Karam. With more than 16 years of experience across nutrition, food and healthy meal planning, iDiet currently serves more than 3,500 customers and delivers over one million meals annually in the UAE.
