Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 11, 2025IFS Emissions Management has launched in IFS Cloud through a strategic partnership with carbon intelligence platform Climatiq. The new module integrates sustainability into daily business workflows, helping companies make carbon-aware decisions based on real operational data.

The collaboration also includes a joint white paper, IFS Cloud: Carbon Emissions Scope 3 Overview and Statement of Direction. It explains how embedded sustainability turns operational data into actionable emissions insights.

Transforming Sustainability Through Technology

This partnership combines IFS’s industrial AI expertise with Climatiq’s advanced carbon intelligence. Together, they provide asset-intensive industries with the ability to track, manage, and reduce carbon emissions without slowing operations.

Climatiq’s scientifically vetted emissions database is now integrated into IFS Cloud. As a result, businesses can automatically calculate emissions directly within their core systems. This automation speeds up setup, ensures consistent data, and simplifies reporting across multiple locations.

Industry Leaders Speak on the Partnership

Caitlin Keam, VP of Sustainability Applications at IFS

“Sustainability regulations are under constant change and review, and our customers are under increasing pressure to meet these evolving obligations while continuing to adapt,” said Caitlin Keam, VP of Sustainability Applications at IFS. “By integrating Climatiq’s verified emissions factor database into Emissions Management in IFS Cloud, we enable organizations to embed sustainability into day-to-day operations, allowing them to adapt quickly, gain clear insights, and make better decisions directly within their core system.”

“This partnership brings together IFS’s deep industry expertise and Climatiq’s carbon intelligence to put climate impact at the heart of business decision-making,” said Hessam Lavi, CEO and co-founder of Climatiq. “By embedding emissions data directly into enterprise workflows and releasing a joint white paper that outlines the path forward for scope 3 reporting, we are helping customers power the green transition through practical, data-driven solutions and collaborative research.”

Backed by Strategic Investment

This launch follows IFS’s recent investment from Generation Investment Management, a sustainability-focused firm co-founded by former US Vice President Al Gore. This move strengthens IFS’s long-term commitment to environmental responsibility.

Aligning with the UAE’s Sustainability Vision

Moreover, the launch aligns with the UAE’s Vision 2031 goals, which prioritize sustainable growth and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Businesses using IFS Emissions Management can contribute to these national objectives while maintaining strong operational performance.

A Commitment Backed by Leading Investors

IFS’s sustainability strategy was further strengthened by a recent investment from Generation Investment Management, a pioneering sustainable investment firm. This backing reflects confidence in IFS’s long-term vision and underscores the company’s role in driving industry-wide transformation toward a greener future.

A person sits in front of multiple computer monitors displaying system dashboards, performance analytics, and code, monitoring data center operations inside a Vertiv facility.

Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, today announced the launch of Vertiv™ Next Predict, an AI-powered managed service that fundamentally transforms data center maintenance. Moving beyond traditional time-based and reactive models, the service industrializes operations by analyzing asset behavior before risks materialize. Vertiv Next Predict is the latest advancement in Vertiv’s integrated AI infrastructure portfolio, designed to deliver predictive intelligence across power, cooling, and IT systems—creating a unified, resilient foundation for AI-driven data centers.

As AI workloads reshape the data center landscape, facilities require improved visibility and control across critical infrastructure to maintain operational continuity and performance at scale. Implementing advanced analytics and predictive maintenance strategies helps organizations address these challenges and maintain consistent performance across distributed environments.

“Data center operators need innovative technologies to stay ahead of potential risks, as compute intensity rises and infrastructures evolve,” said Ryan Jarvis, vice president of the global services business unit at Vertiv. “Vertiv Next Predict helps data centers unlock uptime, shifting maintenance from traditional calendar-based routines to a proactive, data-driven strategy. We move from assumptions to informed decisions, by continuously monitoring equipment condition and enabling risk mitigation before potential impacts to operations.”

Vertiv Next Predict leverages AI-based anomaly detection to continuously analyze operating conditions and identify deviations from expected behaviors at an early stage, and a predictive algorithm that assesses potential operational impact to determine risk and prioritize response. Root cause analysis then isolates the contributing factors to support efficient and targeted resolution. Based on system data and the specific operational context, prescriptive actions are defined and carried through to execution, with corrective measures performed by qualified Vertiv™ Services personnel.

Engineered for versatility and future growth, Vertiv™ Next Predict currently supports a broad and expanding range of Vertiv™ power and cooling platforms—including battery energy storage solutions (BESS) and liquid cooling components. More importantly, the service is designed with scalability in mind, to enable seamless integration with future data center technologies as part of a unified, grid-to-chip service architecture. This forward-looking approach means customers can adopt Vertiv Next Predict today, with the knowledge that it can evolve alongside their infrastructure needs.

The Vertiv Services organization has decades of service experience in critical digital infrastructure, a global network of Vertiv-trained technicians, and AI-powered analytics.
