The iconic ME By Meliá Dubai, designed by the legendary Zaha Hadid, has been awarded the prestigious One Key by the MICHELIN Guide 2025, joining the ranks of the world’s most exceptional hotels celebrated for excellence in design, service, and guest experience.

A sculptural marvel rising in the heart of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa district, ME By Meliá Dubai is the only hotel in the world fully designed, inside and out, by Hadid herself. The property embodies her bold, futuristic vision, a fluid interplay of light, form, and emotion that transforms every stay into an experience of art.

This new recognition by the MICHELIN Guide affirms the hotel’s position as a global icon of contemporary hospitality, where the boundaries between architecture, culture, and comfort dissolve into a seamless work of art.

This recognition is more than an accolade; it’s a reflection of our spirit,” said Elsa Lahoude, general manager. “At ME by Meliá Dubai, hospitality is an art form. Every curve, every interaction, and every detail is crafted to evoke emotion and connection. To be recognised by the MICHELIN Guide is a tribute to our team’s creativity, dedication, and belief in reimagining the meaning of luxury.”

Beyond its striking architecture, ME by Meliá Dubai has redefined what it means to stay in style. Its 93 rooms and 13 residences are individually designed, no two spaces alike – each celebrating personality and perspective. The hotel’s intuitive service model is built on personalisation, empathy, and spontaneity, inviting guests to become collaborators in an unfolding creative experience. Even poolside, the sense of artistry continues, with luxurious Loro Piana sunbeds designed by Dutch artist Femm, blending comfort with creative expression and offering guests an elevated space to unwind in style.

The hotel has evolved into a true cultural hub, featuring nine acclaimed dining destinations. These include Central Restaurant, the hotel’s signature venue, alongside eight exceptional partner concepts: ROKA – visited by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Maison Dali, helmed by Tristin Farmer, a three-Michelin-starred chef; Soirée, The MAINE Land Brasserie, Le Relais de L’Entrecôte, Revolver, Salmon Guru, and Sfumato. Complementing its culinary offerings are art-led experiences and fashion-forward collaborations that continue to shape the city’s ever-evolving cultural landscape.

As it celebrates this new milestone, ME By Meliá Dubai continues to embody its ethos: “Contemporary Culture, By Design,” a philosophy that lives through every curve of its architecture, every personalised gesture of its service, and every creative collaboration that brings the city’s cultural pulse to life.

Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, the luxury boutique destination on Palm Jumeirah, unveils its newest culinary gem, Bakalis by ENVY, a Greek-inspired restaurant that brings the soulful beauty of the Aegean to Dubai’s iconic shoreline.

Designed as a toes-in-the-sand dining experience, Bakalis captures the laid-back spirit of coastal Greece, with sunset views, sea breeze, and the scent of grilled seafood wafting through the air. As the resort’s new specialty restaurant, it’s a place where guests can linger over shared plates, sip chilled rosé in carafes, and soak in uninterrupted views of the Dubai skyline and Arabian Gulf.

Bakalis presents a delicious sharing-style menu that celebrates authentic Greek flavors, inviting guests to indulge in a true Mediterranean feast. Begin with an array of traditional cold plates such as tzatziki, fava, dolmades, and marinated anchovies before savoring warm favorites like grilled eggplant with feta, zucchini chips, and grilled squid. For mains, expect beautifully prepared dishes including traditional Moussaka, chicken souvlaki with lemon rice, whole sea bass with grilled vegetables, Gulf prawns, and lamb chops, each crafted with care and made to share. Enhancing the experience are the two magnificent cast-iron grills with open flames, infusing the air with the irresistible aromas of Greek spices and tender meats. And because no Greek meal is complete without something sweet, Bakalis rounds off the experience with indulgent desserts such as Loukoumades, Bougatsa, pistachio baklava, and Greek yogurt with honey and nuts, offering the perfect finish to a vibrant dining journey.

“We wanted Bakalis to embody the essence of Greece, its flavors, warmth, and spirit of connection,” says Faisal Albaradie, Culinary Director at Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort. “It’s the kind of place where you feel the sand beneath your feet, share a meal under the stars, and let time slow down over good food and great company.”

Additionally, Bakalis was pleased to welcome Chef Ioannis Baxevanis, who joined the opening night to narrate the cultural and culinary traditions that have inspired the menu, offering guests an immersive journey into Greece’s rich gastronomic legacy.

With its romantic beachfront setting, sharing-style dining, and sunset-perfect ambiance, Bakalis is poised to become one of Dubai’s most memorable dining destinations, ideal for date nights, intimate gatherings, and private events alike. Here, every visit feels like a mini escape to the Aegean, where the food, the views, and the spirit of togetherness come together in perfect harmony.

After 23 years of firing up taste buds across the UAE, Nando’s is celebrating a milestone moment with the launch of its 23rd Casa at Nando’s JBR The Walk. The iconic Southern African brand, loved for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi, is set to celebrate the official grand opening of its new restaurant with a lively launch event on Monday, November 17, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

In the lead-up to the event, Barci, Nando’s cheeky mascot, will take over The Walk from November 10 to 13, spreading smiles, posing for photos, and handing out scratch-and-win cards that give fans the chance to win Nando’s exclusive goodies, from free menu items to signature sauce bottles and the ultimate prize of a free meal for four.

Adding even more sizzle to the festivities, guests of the event will witness a one-of-a-kind Nando’s Grill Off between Fernando Duarte, one of Nando’s founders, and Joe Masedi, the brand’s longest-serving head griller from South Africa. Taking place midway through the event, following the official ribbon and cake cutting ceremony, the friendly showdown promises to be a highlight moment for media and guests alike.
