BLUME WELCOMES RAMADAN WITH ‘GATHERINGS OF THE SILK ROAD’, A FOUR COURSE IFTAR
This Ramadan, Blume introduces ‘Gatherings of the Silk Road’, a four course Iftar inspired by the caravan routes that once connected cultures through food, hospitality, and shared ritual at sundown. Available daily from 6pm to 8pm throughout the holy month and priced at AED 240 per person, the experience is designed for sunset dining and shared plates, bringing the spirit of togetherness into a modern setting for families, friends, and communities to reconnect over an unhurried evening.
Set within two distinct design led spaces, Blume offers a different mood in each destination. The Dubai Mall location is defined by its iconic designer inspired train carriage interiors in Fashion Avenue, while Blume Dubai Marina brings a softer feel through garden inspired interiors and panoramic waterfront views.
The Iftar begins in the spirit of Ramadan, with a generous spread designed for sharing: warm breads, classic house dips, stuffed vine leaves, aged tulum with burnt butter, and premium Ajwa and Medjoul dates, alongside a bright seasonal salad finished with olive oil and lemon.
A warming soup follows, with guests choosing between a comforting lentil soup enriched with butter, cumin and sweet paprika, or a soup of the day. Hot starters are then served to the table for sharing, moving the meal into heartier territory through classic Turkish and regional flavours, from pan sautéed calf liver with warm spices and Turkish kol böreği, to Ashur slow cooked cracked wheat and meat stew and traditional icli kofte.
For mains, guests choose from a line-up that balances comfort with polish, from slow cooked lamb shoulder with rice pilaf, pistachio and brown butter, to grilled chicken skewers with roasted pepper and tomato, alongside Blume signatures such as Ali Nazik and Turkish manti, as well as the chef’s dish of the day.
To finish, guests choose from a selection of classic desserts, including baked rice pudding topped with roasted hazelnuts, delicate gullach layered with milk soaked pastry sheets, pistachio and pomegranate seeds, or a comforting Umm Ali baked bread pudding with milk and mixed nuts. Complimentary water, Turkish tea and şerbet are served alongside the Iftar.

MÖVENPICK HOTEL APARTMENTS BUR DUBAI, OUD METHA UNVEILS FULLY RENOVATED PREMIUM SERVICED APARTMENTS FOR LONG-STAY LIVING

Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai has completed an extensive renovation of its serviced apartment building, unveiling a refreshed portfolio of premium one-, two- and three-bedroom residences designed to meet Dubai’s growing demand for high-quality, long-stay serviced accommodation.
The transformation comes at a time when Dubai continues to experience rapid population growth and increased relocation to the city, driven by strong economic momentum, business expansion, and lifestyle appeal. According to recent reports, Dubai’s population is projected to reach 4 million residents in 2026, with continued growth expected in the coming years, placing sustained demand on residential and serviced living solutions.
Spanning 12 floors, the newly renovated apartments range in size from 85 to 131 square metres and have been reimagined to offer a refined yet comfortable residential experience. The design draws inspiration from Dubai’s dynamic urban rhythm, where heritage and modern living coexist, reflected through light-filled interiors, clean architectural lines, and a calm, contemporary colour palette. Thoughtfully planned layouts allow space to breathe, creating a sense of ease and familiarity for guests settling into the city for extended stays.
Each apartment features upgraded living areas and fully equipped kitchens designed for everyday use, supporting a natural, home-style way of living. Select residences also open onto private terraces with views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Frame, connecting guests visually and emotionally to the city beyond their walls. This sense of place begins upon arrival, with newly reimagined public areas and a redesigned lobby that blends local influences with modern elegance.
The renovation aligns with evolving guest expectations, particularly among professionals on extended assignments, families relocating to Dubai, and long-stay visitors seeking privacy, space, and independence without compromising on hotel comforts. The property’s central location in Oud Metha, with convenient access to Sheikh Zayed Road, World Trade Centre, healthcare city, business districts, and cultural landmarks, further strengthens its appeal for both lifestyle and purpose-driven stays.
“We are delighted to bring a new experience of a contemporary living at Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai. Following a full renovation, our residences have been thoughtfully redesigned to offer a fresh, modern aesthetic paired with exceptional comfort and smart in‑room technology”, said Damir Kartal, Cluster General Manager. “Located in the highly sought‑after Oud Metha district, our serviced apartments place you at the centre of Dubai’s business, leisure, and lifestyle destinations. Perfect for business travellers and long‑stay guests, each space blends style with functionality to create a seamless home‑away‑from‑home experience”
Rooted in the Mövenpick spirit of generosity, joy, and reconnection, and elevated through Accor’s commitment to responsible and forward-thinking hospitality, this is city living reimagined. Sustainability, wellbeing, and intuitive technology have also been thoughtfully integrated throughout the renovation. Energy-efficient systems, smart temperature controls, and water-saving solutions support responsible living without disrupting comfort. A cloud-based entertainment system allows guests to stream personal content, access digital newspapers, and enjoy a paperless information experience, while enhanced connectivity ensures reliable, high-speed internet for both work and leisure.
The timing of the renovation also reflects broader hospitality and tourism trends. Dubai welcomed 9.88 million international overnight visitors in the first half of the year alone, highlighting Dubai’s growing appeal not only as a travel destination, but as a city where visitors are increasingly choosing to stay longer.
With its renewed focus on space, comfort, and thoughtful Design, the property reinforces its role in supporting Dubai’s continued growth, offering a place not just to stay, but to truly live.

SOLICO GROUP POSITIONS UAE MANUFACTURING AS A FOOD SECURITY ENGINE AT GULFOOD 2026
Solico Group, one of the Middle East’s most established food manufacturers, is placing UAE-based manufacturing at the centre of the regional food security conversation at Gulfood 2026 (Hall 4, Stand B4-60), Dubai World Trade Centre. Through its AED 130 million SoFood Dubai factory, now live and in production, the Group is demonstrating how locally anchored production is reshaping regional food security by reducing reliance on import-led supply chains and building long-term manufacturing resilience in the UAE.
That strategy is underpinned by SoFood Dubai’s fully operational production hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone, now producing up to 40 tons per day. Designed with a modular, export-ready architecture, the facility enables rapid category expansion while strengthening domestic manufacturing capacity and supporting reliable supply to regional and international markets.
This manufacturing-led approach directly supports the UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051 by localising critical food production, shortening supply chains, and reducing exposure to external market volatility. It also aligns with the Dubai Industrial Strategy and the Made in UAE programme, reinforcing the role of advanced food manufacturing as a pillar of long-term economic and food security resilience.
At Gulfood, Solico is showcasing a curated selection from its multi-category portfolio spanning dairy, ice cream, meat, beverages, ready meals, ready-to-eat products, sports nutrition, baby food, and health-focused offerings. With more than 2,000 SKUs across its global operations, the Group’s presence underscores its ability to support food security not only through scale, but through precision, quality, and category depth.
A cornerstone of Solico’s manufacturing capability is its Milk Refinery, the first of its kind in Asia, now integrated into the Group’s UAE ecosystem. The facility enables high-precision nutrition innovation, supports waste reduction, and enhances production efficiency, contributing to consistent supply across essential food categories including infant nutrition and specialised dietary products.
Solico is also highlighting UAE-based production of Pemina meats, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening local protein manufacturing as part of a broader food security framework focused on localisation, resilience, and export-ready standards.
At the Solico stand, visitors are experiencing live food preparation, chef-led tastings, and technical demonstrations designed to show manufacturing capability in action. Buyer and partner discussions are centred on regional supply stability, export partnerships, and long-term manufacturing collaboration.
Commenting on the Group’s participation, Mr. Gholamali Soleimani, Founder and Group Chairman, Solico Group, said: “Food security cannot rely on trading alone. It is built through manufacturing capability, localisation, and long-term investment. By producing in the UAE, at scale and with flexibility, we are contributing to the country’s food security vision while serving the wider region from within it. After 50 years in food production, we see this as a responsibility as much as a strategy.”
With operations spanning 16 factories and a workforce of more than 25,000 globally, Solico Group’s presence at Gulfood 2026 is a clear statement: food security in the region will be shaped by manufacturers who commit locally, build resilient infrastructure, and think beyond short-term supply.
