Successful series of Prologix Cisco events concludes
Prologix in collaboration with Cisco held a series of Roadshows from 11th to 21st of January. The events were a forum to discuss the latest technology trends in Retail, Education, Oil & Gas, Real Estate & Construction and Banking industries and showcase networking solutions from Cisco Meraki, Cisco’s unified communication systems as well asCisco Flexpod.
The Roadshows were attended by representatives from leading companies Retail, Education, and BFSI Industries.
There were two roadshows showcasing solutions from Cisco Meraki on the 11th and 17th January 2016. The theme was “Simplify Mission Critical Networks with Meraki”. Cisco Meraki is a leader in cloud controlled Wireless, WAN & Security, Switching and Cloud networking.
D.K Roy, Vice- President, Enterprise Sales Division of Prologix presented the technology portfolio which Prologix can offer to different segments in the market, highlighting how the solutions specifically address the requirements from the retail and educational sectors. His adress was followed by a presentation from Grant Millar, Partner Account Manager, Cisco, who highlighted the solutions from Cisco for retail and education verticals.
Fayaz Malik, IT Manager, British International School Abu Dhabi,a user of Meraki networking solutions spoke about the imminent trends in technology in the networking industry relating to Meraki. He shared all his best experiences as a user and recommended the product to different institutions in education.
There was an interactive hands-on session that discussed live references about how Meraki can create miracles in different industries. This was presented by Sharif Kotb, Meraki Product Sales Specialist- Middle East & Africa.
Following the roadshow for Meraki suite of solutions, Prologix along with Cisco conducted a VIP Banking Meet which mainly focused on how UCS can be the perfect pick for Banks, Finance Houses, Real Investment agencies etc. The Cisco Unified Computing System is a next-generation data center platform that unites compute, network, storage access, and virtualization into a cohesive system designed to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase business agility.
At the event, the product presentation was given by Clinton O’ Leary, Data & cloud Sales Specialist, Cisco on USC. This was followed by a presentation from D.K Roy, Vice- President, Enterprise Sales Division, Prologix on how Prologix can cater to the two main IT demands in Networking & Data Security in BFSI sector.
The last of the current series of roadshows, the Prologix and Cisco Flexpod seminar, was held on the 21st of January. Flexpod is an integrated computing, networking, and storage solution developed by Cisco and NetApp. Its configurations and workloads are published as Cisco Validated Designs.
Wadah Fadul – Cisco Data center consultant, Aptech discussed briefly about the technological advancements in the networking and storage industries.
Suresh Sood, Vice President – Business Development, Prologix took lead and addressed the attendees with the solutions portfolio that we offer to the various verticals in the market. The event successfully concluded with the Networking lunch.

Larisa Uskar appointed Corporate Director of Brand Marketing for Rotana

Malaysia Airlines has appointed Almosafer as its exclusive general sales agent (GSA) for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This strategic partnership reaffirms Malaysia Airlines’ expanding presence in the region and strengthens its role in supporting the growing travel demand between the two nations.
